  1. I've learned . . . . . The world you see is created by what you focus on.
  2. I've learned . . . . . Things are beautiful if you love them.  Nothing is perfect until you make it perfect.
  3. I've learned . . . . . The most valuable lessons in life cannot be taught; they must be experienced.
  4. I've learned . . . . . That to ignore the facts does not change the facts.
  5. I've learned . . . . . Time heals almost everything.  Give it time.  Good things take time; great things take a little longer.  All great achievements require time.
  6. I've learned . . . . . No matter how tall the mountain is, it cannot block the sun.
  7. I've learned . . . . . That a smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.
  8. I've learned . . . . . That everyone you meet deserves to be greeted with a smile. 
  9. I've learned . . . . . That when you harbor bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere.
  10. I've learned . . . . . That everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness, and growth happen while you're climbing it.
  11. I've learned . . . . . That people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.
  12. I've learned . . . . . That one should keep his words both soft and tender, because tomorrow he may have to eat them.
  13. I've learned . . . . . That when you plan to get even with someone, you are only letting that person continue to hurt you.  The wrong people will always teach you the right lesson.
  14. I've learned . . . . . That  life isn't fair,  but it's still good.
  15. I've learned . . . . . That the flowers of tomorrow are in the seeds of yesterday.
  16. I've learned . . . . . You can never plan the future by the past; you can't grow into the future by holding onto the past.
  17. I've learned . . . . . We are products of our past, but we don’t have to be prisoners of it.

I'm difficult sometimes and have a few screws loose,
but  I  learned.
I'm stronger because I had to be;

I'm smarter because of my mistakes;
I'm happier because of the sadness I've known;
and now I'm wiser because I learned.
  • Every day is a new day, and you'll never be able to find happiness if you don't move on.
  • Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.
  • Happiness is a journey, not a destination.  So work like you don't need money.  Love like you've never been hurt.

  • You can't shine like a diamond, if you not willing to get cut like a diamond.

  • A butterfly with bullet holes in her wings that never regretted learning to fly.
  • The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.
  • Don't compare your life to others.  You have no idea what their journey is all about.
  • Never laugh at anyone's dream.  People who don't have dreams don't have much.
  • Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly.
  • If you Judge people, you have no time to love them.
  • Commitment is what transforms a promise into a reality.
  • You have to dream before your dreams can come true.  Don't give up on your dreams, or your dreams will give up on you.
  • Vision without action Is merely a dream.  Action without vision just passes the time.  Vision with action can change the world.
  • Do not seek to follow in the footsteps of the wise.  Seek what they sought.
  • It does not matter how slowly you go, as long don't stop.
  • Small steps in the right direction are better than big ones in the wrong direction.
  • In life if you have not done enough to create yourself, you will never be able to find yourself.
  • A dark past doesn't mean you can't have a bright future.
  • Everyone deserves second chance, but not for the same mistake.
  • Never judge people by their past.  People learn.  People change.  People move on.
  • Having made a mistake was wrong; staying with a mistake would be disastrous.
  • Don't make decisions when you're angry. Don't make promises when you're happy.
  • Trust takes years to build, seconds to break, and forever to repair.
  • A promise means everything but once it is broken, sorry means nothing.  Never break your promises.
  • Love deeply and passionately.  You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely.
  • Marry a man/woman you love to talk to.  As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other.
  • A true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart.
  • Meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one, so that when we finally meet the person, we will know how to be grateful.
  • We must not allow other people's limited perceptions to define us.  Our past does not define our future.  
  • You lose yourself trying to hold on to someone who doesn't care about losing you.
  • Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life.
  • Feelings come and go like clouds in a windy sky.  Conscious breathing is your anchor.
  • Don’t let the bad days make you think you have a bad life.
  • A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor.
  • A river cut through a rock not because of its power, but because of its persistence. 
  • When wealth is lost, nothing is lost; when health is lost, something is lost; when character is lost, all is lost.
  • The old believe everything; the middle-aged suspect everything; the young know everything.
  • Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
  • Your finest work, your best movements, your joy, peace, and healing come when you love yourself.
  • Raise your words, not voice.  It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder.
  • Remember the 3 C's: Choices, Chances, and changes.  You must make the choice to take a chance, or your life will never change.
  • Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.
  • Don't cry over the past, it's gone.  Don't stress about the future, it hasn't arrived.  Live in the present and make it beautiful.
  • Don’t compare your life to others; there’s no comparison between the sun and the moon; they both shine when it’s their time.
  • Never make someone a priority when all you are to them is an option.
  • Count your age by friends, not years.  Count your life by smiles, not tears.
  • If you don’t take care of your health today, you will have to take care of your doctor tomorrow.
  • The elevator to happiness, health and success is out of order ...  The stairway, however, is always available.
  • Life doesn't come with instructions.  You may make mistakes, but you live and learn.
  • The same boiling water that softens the potato hardens the egg.  It's about what you're made of, not the circumstances.
  • Life can only be understood backward, but it must be lived forward.
  • I walk slowly, but I never walk backward.
  • Tough times create strong men, and strong men create easy times; Easy times create weak men, and weak men create tough times.
  • To study and not think is a waste.  To think and not study is dangerous.
  • Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day.  Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.
  • Never let hard lessons harden your heart; the hard lessons of life are meant to make you better, not bitter.
  • What comes easy won't last, what lasts won't come easy.  Don't waste your time chasing butterflies.  Mend your garden, and the butterfies will come.
  • When you lose, don't lose the lesson.  Lessons in life will be repeated until they are learned.  Be open to learn, unlearn and relearn.
  • Learning is experience.  Everything else is just information.  Smart people want to learn.  The rest teach.
  • We have two ears and one mouth, so we should listen more than we say.
  • You learn nothing from life if you think you're right all the time.  Those who keep learning will keep rising.
  • We are all students of life, and every experience is a lesson.
  • Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.
  • Life is very complicated; don't try to find answers.  Because when you find answers.  Life changes the questions.
  • Life is too deep for words, so don't try to describe it, just live it.  People and time will teach you more than the books.
  • Today will be yesterday, and tomorrow will be today; yesterday is today’s memory, and tomorrow is today’s dream.

Keep your words positive because your words become your behavior.
Keep your behavior positive because your behavior becomes your habits.
Keep your habits positive because your habits become your values.
Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny.

The past is where you learned the lesson. The future is where you apply the lesson.
