MIND    OVER    MATTER

If  you  open  it, CLOSE  IT.
If  you  turn  it  on, TURN  IT  OFF.
If  you  unlock  it, LOCK  IT.
If  you  use  it, TAKE  CARE  OF  IT.
If  you  break  it, REPAIR  IT.
If  you  can't  fix  it, CALL  IN  SOMEONE  WHO  CAN.
If  it's  not  yours, DON'T  TAKE  IT.
If  you  move  it, PUT  IT  BACK.
If  you  borrow  it, RETURN  IT.
If  it  belongs  to  someone  else, GET  PERMISSION  TO  USE  IT.
If  you  don't  know  how  to  operate  it, LEAVE  IT  ALONE.
If  you  make  a  mess, CLEAN  IT  UP.
If  you  can't  do  better, DON'T  JUDGE.
If  it's  none  of  your  business, DON'T  ASK  QUESTIONS.
If  you  can't  say  anything  nice, DON'T  SAY  ANYTHING  AT  ALL.
If  you  promise  it, KEEP  IT.
If  it's  your  fault, APOLOGIZE  FOR  IT.
If  it  doesn't  concern  you, DON'T  MESS  WITH  IT.

It's all mind over matter.
If you don't mind, it does matter.
I don't mind and you don't matter.
Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right.

The distance between dreams and reality is called discipline.  Mind control is the result of self-discipline and habit.  If you don't control what you think, you can't control what you do.  Discipline is doing what needs to be done, even if you don't want to do it.  You can never conquer the mountain.  You can only conquer yourself.  You either control your mind or it controls you.  You cannot control your circumstances, but you can control your character.  A disciplined mind leads to happiness, and an undisciplined mind leads to suffering.  No one notices your tears, no one notices your sadness, and no one notices your pain.  But they all notice your mistakes.  God helps those who help themselves.  Envy is ignorance; imitation is suicide.  Self-help is the best help.

Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments.  Self-discipline is a key ingredient in success.  The first step to getting what you want is to have the courage to get rid of what you don't.  Overcome addictions and weaknesses. The discipline you enforce today determines the success you'll enjoy tomorrow.

To handle yourself, use your head; to handle others, use your heart.  Listening to your head may lead to more tangible success, but not following your heart increases your risk of regret.  We need to learn that our actions do affect other people.  Words and hearts should be handled with care, because words, when spoken, and hearts, when broken, are the hardest things to repair.

Rule your mind, or your mind will rule you.
